Crowe Don't Play!

Ok, most of you probally dont know me, butfor those of you that do, you probally have noticed that i have been gone for a while. Mainly because of work and school, but also due to a side project i have been working on. Me and my team have an advanced set of tactics and drills that we run (taken mostly from our airsoft expierence) that turns stock weapon shoot outs into a more serious game, and for us, alot more fun and competitive.

Now, we play only with stock weapons/attachments, 3 live respawn at 15 seconds, and no reloads. Also, weapon hits do not count as an out for us. And since we have started drilling (only the 3 of us) we have not lost a battle yet. More often that not, we do not even get hit. It uses positioning, team tactics, and makes exclusive use of the weapon as a shield, and using it to decrease your silhouette. Also, reloading, taking different kinds of cover, and how to use stock attachments is covered as well.

Now, my question to everybody is:

Is this taking Nerf to seriously? Or it just a different way to have harmless fun? And this time, No melee hits =D

Now, if you guys are interested, i will post some of my tactics and drills here for your teams to practice - of course, only if you want. Give them a shot, see if you like them, or see if they work for you.

But if you think its too serious, just leave me a comment telling me what you think.

Thanks guys!

I think that's a great idea, sometimes I do basic reflexive fire drills. I don't think your taking nerf to seriosly because nerf is supposed to be fun, and if drilling is fun for you then by all means drill, drill, drill. I would love to see some of your training exercises because it would be awesome to never lose a war.

Ok, you can hold your gun sideways like that, it'll look all cool and gangster, but the rscb wont load. then we will laugh at you, after that we will shoot you.

There's a medium. Just avoid being excessive about it.

Being competitive is what everyone should be. Sure, don't kill people out there and play honestly, but want to win.

Cheating, lying, and playing WAY too seriously is bad. I would not play with someone like that.

What you're doing sounds good though. Just don't bust your friends balls for missing "practice" Cheesy

I agree with homa. As long as you have fun and dont piss off the other pepole, then by all means drill until your head melts.

Well, thats good. Im glad im not getting flamed for this like i thought i would be. And no, nobody ever misses practice, and if they did, i could care less. This is Nerf, not a Football Team.

Well ok, ill start a New Topic with my first part of training in it. I may even have videos posted on youtube to watch.

Anyways, thanks for the support!

Yeah well my only "training drills" involve me firing a crap load times across the room and working on faster reloading...

Also at any large war, you are probably not going to be on the same team as your friends, so the basic hand signals are the way to go...

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

Well, me and my frinds have looked into that alot - and we actually have different weapon setups depending on what were facing and where we are positioned. Ill make a section about planning, but im working on my first drill now.

I don't think it is much I try to do things like that in a Nerf game with my stock guns as well.

Just bumping this and wondering when are your training videos coming out?

Well, first admins, this isnt a Bump.
Second, To make a long story short, i now have to work full time, cutting my Nerfing time down to... well... nothing really.
So recently, i have cleared up some time on my schedule, im im currently writing the manuals. Now, for those of you who DO read this section and MANAGE to find this, i want to know if at least 1 person is interested in this still. If not, i will make them and reserve them for poserity.

Also, i need a little help. Considering all of this is stock, i need sample loadouts for my research. So if you can, just post em after this. It will help me get done faster. Remember, STOCK!

Thanks for the support, if i find any, and sorry about my long abscence.
Please find this!

My introduction video will be live in a couple on minutes. Just a breif description of the manual and its contents. The guide is going through its final stages, and i will post videos following the posting of the guide.

Edit: Finally got it working. Had to re encode the video and audio to a different format.

Thanks guys.

This isn't really a bump right? I mean, the topic is like number 1 in this section.

After taking a break from Nerf and not visiting the boards I saw your video and must say, I am very interested in this manual/manuals. Hope its doing well and I'll be on the look out for them in the future.
