Nerf swords

Ok, so, they've been out for a while, but the debate still rages around where i live, and i havent seen anything on it here. what do you think? should the Nerf Shadow Force, and thunder force swords be allowed in Nerf wars? technically, they ARE Nerf weapons, and you probably have about the same chance of hitting with them as with other Nerf weapons. and in wars where they are allowed, should you count it as a hit when they block a dart with the sword? (This all comes about because one guy in my area uses JUST the Nerf sword, and blocks or dodges every shot, and moves like a friggin ninja.)

it depends on the host, but you do know that after a few swings they snap in half right?

Ya, but he cut open the bottom, and replaced the plastic rod at the core with a dowel rod to make it more sturdy.

Snap in half?  That hasn't happened yet...we've hit hard enough to break those dowel rods from walmart and haven't broken the swords.  Anyway, if I were hosting the war and the dude could block shots with those swords I think he should be able to stay in.

Thanks alot... he isnt just using the sword now though, hes got a Maverick, (Not sure of mods) that he wields in his other hand. I dont know what to do to counter, since if i try and shoot him, he dodges, or blocks, and if i get him close enough to shoot him around the sword, he can shoot me... i need a gunsword... cant wait for my hornet to arrive.

the "moves like a friggin ninja" is going to be my description as soon as i get my second marauder so i can dual wield
