Here's an idea. This is for use in well-covered areas with lots of trees and hills/cliffs. Send someone down with the front gun from the longshot. Have at least one person as a sn!per using the longshot with the barrel and target painter from the recon. Once the other team takes the bait send in backup. (like a vulcan and raider) After that maybe something like an all-out assault or surround them. It's really your choice.

SO just a word in advance, most people in nerf aren't into the whole idea of classification or extensive tactics, thats more reserved for airsoft and paintball.

BUT I had a beautiful trap that I had setup.

I was at Scano 3 (hosted at a public school where there were a lot of portables), so I had stuck around the entire team and was planning on "flanking" the people that were in a stand-off. So I started to open fire on the other team with my DTB, and the other half of their team morphed into my vision, right after FA unloaded a stefan right beside my head.
So I turned and ran back for my team just screaming 'Oh S**t!' and many other pleasant phrases. As it turns out my team was just getting ready to rush the other side of the stand-off, So they heard my frantic yelling and covered my A** just as I blew past them.
Thus ending my epic impromptu trap.

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

While there is definitely merit in discussing tactics, and the bait or "rabbit" tactic is tried and true, I have to question your knowledge of the subject after reading this:

Have at least one person as a boobus using the longshot with the barrel and laser sight from the recon.

1) There is no boobus in Nerf. (Yes, I know you wrote Sn!per, and it is filtered to boobus.)

2) The barrel from the Recon actually decreases the range of the blaster, whether adding it to the Recon or the Longshot. It adds drag to the path of the dart - a.k.a. friction - which slows it down and drops the range.

3) The "laser sight" from the recon is just a red LED flashlight in a tight beam, and unless you are playing at night and at close ranges, is practically worthless. It certainly isn't very useful for actually improving accuracy, especially with streamline darts which tend to corkscrew a bit and aren't going to hit the dot anyway.

This is more a tactic for an informal nerf war, like a birthday party or something. And the target painter is a good idea if the war is in a small valley full of white dirt, its actually called some name that I can't spell, or in a snowy place.

If it works in your situation, great.

Not many of us are surrounded by white dirt though.

Good point. The long shot without the front gun and the scope is good too.
