Watch for my new desktop soon, I'm switching to Vista 64-bit within the next week or so.

Well I will see.....my Vista DVD and shiny 4GB(2X2GB) of Mushkin RAM show up tomorrow. I plan on making it lighter of course, vlite is your friend.

Silly PCs.

PC stands for personal computer, which last time I heard Mac is personal computer.....Well Mac attempts to be a personal computer anyway. Further on that subject....Mac computers, use INTEL CPUs and can also run Windows....Making a "Mac" just a really expensive OS thats not too much better than a free Linux distro.

Yup, they can run Wind'ohs, but I don't see why any Mac guy would want to. And, if I'm hearing you right(I may not), are you saying someone would buy a Mac just to run Wind'ohs?

The funny thing is that Wind'ohs still makes (Yeah, sure, you can buy a Laptop for cheap but all you can do is play pin-ball and you have to buy the rest of the software)commercials slamming Apple when they own 90% of computers anyway.

If I could use Linux to play games I would, but if you do your gaming on a PC nothing but Windoze( ) is going to cut it. Also you would be surprised how many people run Windows in a Dual-boot configuration on Mac PCs. In my opinion the first time a Mac booted Windows, Mac LOST the OS war.

Oh and I have not noticed Microsoft slamming Apple. Its more like Apple is slamming Microsoft.....Microsoft runs a fairly clean ad campaign. Apple is the one throwing in subliminal messages, with "I'm a PC and I'm a Mac" campaign.  This Comic sums it up. Apple's Ads are what drove me to hate Macs so much in the first place!


Anyways I'll let you give your last 2 cents here Rocco, if you have anything too say...Then I think its best we end the OS war discussion. I get too worked up over it...Seriously. No hard feelings.

Well, I have to admit, sometimes those commercials actually have a point but the subliminal message thing is completely right. I guess Mac is just trying to boost our pathetic amount of customers.

I read a book on the virus thing. . . yeah, no hacker gives a crap about Mac, but that's not too bad.


On topic: I found an epic site for wallpapers that formats the image to your exact dimensions. . . which I found really awesome, I can't stand the look of bad graphics on a wallpaper. I'll get a link, once I find it again.

Yeah a 1024 X 786 Image looks like crap on a 1920 X 1080 desktop.

Well you know, you can select exact image dimensions on a google Image search. Thats what I do.

Anyways Here is my new Vista 64 Desktop.

Rocco:  I know exactly what you mean.  I have a cousin who is technologically inept, and she blew up what must have been a 20x30 picture to around a 1200x900.  I wince every time I see her desktop.  Anyways, for those with 1920x1080 size displays, I applaud you.  You are far wealthier than I am.

Well, they may not be expensive for you, but for a jobless teen that's some big mulah right thar.  Plus If I was going to get one I would still have to buy the PC itself.  Even more mulah.  $_$
