Mine's a pretty basic Compaq (HP) Presario CQ60-211DX, 2Gig RAM, 160 Gig hard-drive, Basic as American cheese. But the 13'' screen is great. Intel Celeron 585, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500m
Nothing different on it 'cept the software on it. And with Vista basic.

@Tom: Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 and Dual-boot FTW! I have Desktop PC sorta like that I built for my parents(from spare parts ). Yours is a bit better, it only has a AMD Athlon Brisbane 2.6ghz and 2GB DDR2 800 RAM. With that Cooler in place though you should be able to get at least 3.1ghz, with voltage bump. Throw a 4650 in and you got yourself a nice budget gaming PC man!

yea it's a nice pc, low budget, but good for media/games I'm going to build myself one before i go to college after senior year (I'm a junior now) and ill probably add a better processor(and better parts as technology advances) i think mine came out to around $500 with a DVD burner, internal card reader, & other miscellaneous additions
But i do have a thing for laptops(who doesn't like carrying around awesomeness-referring to a laptop)
oh and i also have a netbook, its an asus HE1000 i believe(again has Linux, on an SD card at the moment)

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

Wow, that's a damn nice laptop! Thanks, Mega, I'm going to ask for that monitor for christmas. Also, I changed up my Motherboard, this one is pretty kickin', it's a lot cheaper and it's basically the same as the other. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136068R

So, I'm torn between Ati and Invidia. I've been looking at the two 250 gts (512MB) and two 4870's (512Mb) Sli'd and Crossfire'd respectively.
I need some input on the two please.

Given the choice, I'd choose a nice Nvidia card, personally.

That is a EXPENSIVE(Although awesome) Laptop! Congratulations! Cool! AM3 FTW! Just make sure you get the right RAM, DDR3 isnt backwards compatible with DDR2. As for the whole Nvidia, ATI decision.....I'd go ATI. From what I have seen Nvidia will give you some more FPS, but the picture and color quality aren't near as good as ATI. I also somewhat dislike Nvidia's drivers and software suite, but that is just me.

That is a EXPENSIVE(Although awesome) Laptop! Congratulations! Thank you... It's usually $1600 CAD but I got on sale for $1300 CAD. I needed it for college and it almost cost me my entire paycheck from the military.

My Phenom II Idles @ 25C(77F) with a 3.2ghz Overclock.
For the price, those Freezer 64s can't be beat.
