This one caught me off guard, but a trip over to NerfHaven revealed yet ANOTHER new Nerf gun. Looks to be another Recon or Longshot recasing and uses the familiar Clip System. However, this weapon seems unique in the sense that it sounds to be a transforming weapon. Credit to KevinEricon for finding and documenting it. Though it's firing system may not be new, I think the design of this weapon is a breath of fresh air to the N-Strike line which has seen a lot of neat recasings with no real new gimmicks to support them. It's a battery operated shot gun style blaster. But it's still hand primed, they just use battery to power the auto-conversion, turn the magazine to horizontal position and extend the stock to release handle. It does remind me a bit of a briefcase uzi.
Also, with new info out about the Longtrike, perhaps it's high time we reopened that topic?

"Flashlight mode" seems a bit cheesy, but it looks interesting nevertheless.
I can't really judge it I guess, until I see the ranges.

I agree, but it's a fun gimmick I think regardless of it's uselessness. It is a kids toy after all.
I like the fact that they've finally included a carry strap with one of their guns. Most of the N-Strike weapons have loops that you could attach your own strap to, but I think their inclusion of one on this is a nice touch.
I wonder though... with that rotating magazine well, will putting a CS-35 Drum on there cause too much of a weight strain on it?

Ever since the Longshot Hasbro has been clip crazy, and so far every type of clip has been interchangeable with every other clip gun(Magstrike excluded of course). So I'm guessing it will work, since it looks like it uses the same design as the LS. Whether it will actually work good is another question.

Well that's my point. I have no doubt that a CS-style clip will work in them. I just think that the weight of the CS-35 Drum will wreak havoc on the moveable mag well.

How big would it be in flashlight mode? I hope it fits in a small backpack.

It wouldn't look like a flashlight if it had a drum. Of course, you could say that it's a 24 volt battery.

Or turn the drum into a gigantic Varmint hunting light Between the Longstrike and the Deploy, they're both very different "styles" aesthetically. The Longstrike seems to follow the general trend of "futuristic take on an ordinary weapon". It's got billions of details that just add a "cool" effect that N-Strike designs have generally gone with. Whereas the Deploy seems to take more of a High-tech spy weapon with a more boxy design. There aren't nearly as many random detail moldings and looks more "plain". This is probably more so that the "transformation" is smoother, but it at least seems to stand out among the generic N-Strike aesthetic designs.

First one showed up on eBay. Provides some more angles to look at it from.
Looks like you can attach the N-Strike barrels to the front too.
Link removed!
Just a reminder, if the ebay auction is not your own don't post a link to it. You are messing with free trade. Not only are you giving free advertising to some dweeb who is likely not a member, but also you may be interferring with a member here who is bidding on it. For example, say I was bidding and about to get it for a song and then you come along and post a link. Suddenly the price doubles, then I would be obligated to come after you for the difference. be safe, don't do it.

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

Actually, the vid is from Kevin. Ice paid him $70 just to buy the gun and make the vid!

I kidna like how it's transformation to weapon mode is spring loaded. Looks like a bit of work/careful adjusting to get it back into "Stealth mode", but that's to be expected.
I would also expect the "flashlight" on there to be of the same type we saw on the Recon? Just integrated? Or did they change it up a bit?

Why do some of you guys keep calling it a recon? I know that it has an inverse plunger tube and has some similarities to the recon but it is not a recon. If you want to call it a recon at least call it an improved version of the recon because if it was a recon then it would have a high jamming rate.
