My design for a Semi-auto LS, to make it Full-auto, you make it have slam fire like the  raider.

The motor is attached to a pack and pinion system to cock the gun

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

I know this post is a few weeks old, but its at the top of the list still. So please do not slam me for posting in here.

I had been thinking of this same idea. Instead of a rack and pinion using a linear actuator of some kind to actuate the boltsled. From what I have sketched out it would only need a max of 7 inches travel. Yeah, it would cost more, but for most guys it might be easier to mod with simple tools. Just a simple relay to control the actuator. You would need a "safety" of some sort so that it did not just start slamming at random though.

Do you have any sketches of the mechanical side of your idea? I have two Longshots in paint right now that I might be able to test your idea in if you can provide me with a bit more detail.
