I finished the sheath a few days ago and finished the holster last night. I only wanted the Recon because I am a huge Metal Gear Solid fan and it seemed the closest I would ever get to a SOCOM USP. The sheath and holster are all made out of black duct tape and cardboard. The straps are nylon webbing from REI and 1/2" & 2" buckles (and webbing to match that)

The knife is a cut down and trimmed Target $1 sword. These things are awesome. Just Cut the blade to whatever length you want, then I slid the foam down so I could trim the black plastic tube inside so that no one would actually get hurt and plugged it with the same foam plug in the top of the blade. Then trim this with a dremel sanding attachment.

Next is the Recon Holster which was a lot more work...but totally worth it since I can have 2 extra clips at the ready! I left a hole in the bottom so I could shoot someone if I was sitting down like Han Solo...

Very nice job! I have made a bunch of foam swords, but that is just such a cheap and nice knife idea. I love it!

I like your holster. How do the little flaps attach (the little strips that hold the magazines in the pockets)? Velcro?

I made thick straps (possibly 2 or 3 layers of duct tape folden in half then taped to one another) and then a strip of duct tape that has been folded in half (lengthwise?) that goes over that. So it is just duct tape sliding into a sliver of more duct tape. Does that make sense?

For the strap holding the gun in place I am going to change that to velcro since with the weight the holster slides right out of it's strip
