Urban Combat 101: An Article by Vigilante

In this first article by me I will give you the basics and factors you should be aware of when playing in an Urban Environment. I am using screenshots from videos recorded by me from games played at my school to help illustrate my points.

1. Your Environment



Know your environment. Knowing the environment allows you to use it to your advantage and avoid disaster areas such as a floor full of glass. Why would you play on a floor full of glass anyways? Know the size of your area so you know how far your guns can engage and engagement points. Know escape routes, and know where the boundaries are in games.

2. Cover



I assume that since you are reading this you will be playing in some sort of Urban place. Use the cover that the environment provides you. Anything that blocks darts from hitting you I consider cover. Use trashcans, benches, and corners to protect yourself. If possible and not against the game rules feel free to move the cover to a position that better suits you.

3. Positioning

In my town we'd get the SWAT team called on us, tased, arrested, tased again for the cop's amusement, tased after we get thrown in the car, and when we threaten to sue them for over-use of the taser, tased again while being hit in the face with mace. And then slapped with a ridiculously huge fine of around $1000. They are seriously that strict at all of the schools, because we've had so many kids bring drugs, guns knifes, and once a bomb.

Haha yeah we the first to do this pretty much but I can be very influential with adults.

If you have the time, yes.  Usually you get in a shoot out, shoot, reload, shoot, until you get a team-mate to flank'em.  That usually happens on staircases.

What really happens.  Like you know that no one uses signals unless its a rush, and that you just yell until a team mate flanks em, or you fall back if some one flanks you.  Or, you can totally feed the noobs all the tacticool stuff like signals.  Then they'll paint there guns black and get shot, and then Obama will get rid of nerf guns (not really, just we hate bad attention).  Your choice.
