Hey guys,
FU has seen a great deal of change and growth in the past six months. I like to think all has changed for the better. We seem to have good participation in our contest events, the shoutbox seems to be very popular, and the number of mods in our library is increasing and visitor traffic is off the chart. We have the FU Blog, the FU Wiki and now the FU Folding site, be sure to check those out. We have also added the arcade which admittedly has nothing to do with Nerfing, but it seems to serve as a pleasant diversion when bored. The management has listened to requests and has relaxed in some areas with the rules (i.e. casual swearing in the sbox
*experimental) yet has become stricter with rules in other areas (i.e. bashing other Nerf Forums). I think these changes have been to the good and add to the quality of our nice little group here.
Going forward, as the weather gets better and the War season gets more in full-bloom, clearly war news is going to naturally increase. We encourage you to promote your war announcements in the Wars section as well as posting your results, how things went, who showed up, etc. Pics and vid links are also welcome (please keep them clean).
In contest news, we just finished the 2009 Winter Mod competition and the judges are no doubt busily working away on their computations. We will be doing a spring competition, one that will include a painting aspect so keep an eye out for that.
The FU Management Team is of course always open to suggestions on what else members would like to see here, more of…, less of…etc. If you have ideas or suggestions on how to make FU better, please let us know. We want members to have fun, otherwise what’s the point?
